I’m so glad you found me here and enjoyed the taste of our November back ‘home’ - including the porridge!
Manitoba is such a poetic word. I shall have to google some images of where you live!
How lovely of you to think I might write a book! I have actually started trying to put some work together, although this indecisive Libran is struggling with what elements of the story to include/leave out and what kind of framework or structure would work best to fit it into. And that has hindered progress. Thoughts and ideas always very gratefully received! Thank you, too, for the kind comment about the writing itself. You’ve brightened my evening. Stay cosy and take care xx
Lovely newsletter Imogen especially the mention of the Green Knowe books which I love. Have you ever been to Hemingford Grey manor where Lucy Boston lived and which was the real Green Knowe? I've been a couple of times and have been lucky enough to have been allowed to hold the little ebony mouse.
Thank you for reading this, Dorothy! Yes, I have been to The Manor, just the once, when my two eldest children were small. I had been invited to show Lucy Boston the patchwork quilt I had made, depicting the house and its stories. She showed us around and was keen that Adam, my eldest who was about 5 at the time, should hold Toby’s sword! Sadly the mouse wasn’t there as it was away, having been borrowed for the BBC children’s series which came out the following Christmas.
Thank you for reading it Sue! That is lovely to hear. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes with each Moon. I’m sure things will gently evolve but I’ve been wanting for ages to make a start and so I’m thrilled I managed to work out how to do it in the end!
Thank you for such lovely writing and descriptions I love Autumn ( October and November ) a beautiful
season . I miss the English mists and mellow fruitfullness of home but it is still lovely on the prairies of
Manitoba. Have you ever considered including all your beautiful writing in a book form..
Love the porridge recipe xo
