I’m burning the one I kept as a sample, as it’s the right time of year again. The scent holds very well and I have to say it may just be my favourite. It’s the birch tar! But perhaps in future I’ll mix up the same blend again for some tea lights. It really was a small edition Robyn so the actual candles went quickly. I think that midwinter somehow makes everything feel more magical! Thank you for reading x
Ahhh Mary, thank you for reading this and for the kind comment. A I’m so very glad that you found The Children of Green Knowe to be magical. It’s haunted my dreams ever since I first read it X
So very beautiful. Woke at 3am to read these wonderful words and poems. Could feel the nature and weather all around me outside while I was safely tucked up warm in bed with an early cup of tea. The wind blowing in the trees the branches bending over and throwing shadows on my wall and wardrobe. Thank you once again Imogen for your beautiful writings and making me feel as though I was actually with you in the Norfolk countryside on a winter's days waiting for the sun to go down as I do here in Kent. The seagulls in groups above me flying high and telling me it's rough at sea. xxxx
There haven’t been many frosts here yet this year. I always forget how transformative it is! I’m lucky that the bedroom window faces east so the sunrise is immersive. Psst by the way you’re not alone re the Lussekatter - you’ll see that the photo was taken last year! This time with all the best intentions I was back with the croissant and the Lussekatter will be made for the Solstice instead (which I believe is perfectly acceptable 😉) x
I think Birch track is the one candle that I truly wish I’d bought. I love the ones I have of course, but this candle sounds just magic.
